Benrowed for Great Britain for almost a decade, competing at six world championships and three Olympic Games. The highlight of his sporting career came at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 when he was a member of the Men's Eight that won the Gold Medal, becoming the first British winners of the event since 1912.

He has spent the last 4 years turning his focus and dedication to Coaching and Speaking. The majority of his work has been with the Si Group, he was an employee of theirs for over 3 years and has now gone freelance.

He have also worked with sports teams including the British Olympic Association, the England Women's Rugby Team and a number of individual sportsmen and women. He is an ambassador for the London 2012 bid, and is involved in the management and administration of rowing as a member of The Amateur Rowing Association Council and a Steward of Henley Royal Regatta.

He live in London with his wife and 2 children.
