Ben rowed for Great Britain for almost a decade, competing at six World Championships and three Olympic Games. The highlight of his sporting career came at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 when he was a member of the Men's Eight that won the Gold Medal, becoming the first British winners of the event since 1912.

He has spent the last 7 years turning his focus and dedication to Coaching and Speaking. Ben runs a company called Point8 Coaching (www.point8coaching.com) which specializes in helping people improve their own performance and the performance of others. Point8 Coaching’s clients vary from Pharmaceuticals to Financial Services, Oil and Gas to retail, Public sector to technology organisations.

Although Ben no longer competes he is still actively involved in the Sports world. He is an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic Games, he will be traveling to China as part of Team GB for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, he is involved in the management and administration of rowing as a member of The Amateur Rowing Association Council and a Steward of Henley Royal Regatta. Ben was also a member of the Organizing Committee of the 2006 World Rowing Championships.
